Wonderful Wooden Gifts By Someflower
This year I decided to think about doing something as well as wedding flowers. We started off this year at the Tithe Barn Wedding fair where I made a couple of personalized wedding keepsake plaques and wedding verse/poem plaques just to give my stand a unique touch. To my surprize that day there was a great feedback to my hand painted wooden gifts and we actually took some orders....which was great. I was so shocked that people liked my ideas. Since that day I have had a lovely creative addition to our products and services and have made many many personalized original designs for customers in wood.

Such A Busy Summer!!!!
It has been a good 12 weeks since my last post on my Blog (so much for being good this year and keeping ontop of it!!!-Lol) So tonight I have managed to find some time to post a few things that Someflower have been up to over the last 3 months.
We have been so so busy and have had a fantastic time. The rest of the year is just as "BloomingBusy" but we can do a posting again for Someflowers Autumn/Winter weddings later.
For now here is some from Summer so far.
Blue seemed to feature very heavily this Summer. Here are some gorgeous pictures of a sohisticaated luxury look in blue and white at the Tithe Barn, Ditcham, Nr Petersfield.

Summer Blooms in May @ Tithe Barn-Ditcham
Just 4 beautiful tall martini vases can make all the difference on the tables especially at the Tithe Barn. Look how stunning they are against the arches. It is a good idea to add a little height to a venue if there are high ceilings
As a contrast to the tall dispays we made summery low level arrangements with a simple hurricane lamp in the centre.
This wedding had quite a few tables so to tie in the height of the martini vases and the candle light from the hurricane lamp displays we added a few candelabra table centres too. Very luxurious on a gorgeous summers day.
Impressive 4 tier wedding cake made by the Father of the Groom. Fresh flowers were used to decorate inbetween the tiers.

The whole wedding theme was a family affair of labour and crafty love.
There was bunting and embroidery, button hearts and fabric favours, sweets and sequins and even a knitted bridal party....what you ask a knitted what????
Take a look at some amazing images captured by the wonderful Danielle Benbow of the day and featured on this brilliant wedding blog - Whimsicalwonderlandweddings.

Wrist Corsages....perfect for PROM & WEDDINGS
Wrist Corsages are becoming ever more popular here at Someflower. Not only are they a beautiful and traditional gift from a young man to his partner at the School Prom or Summer Ball, but they also make a stunning accessory to compliment any Bridesmaid Dress or Wedding Outfit.
Corsages worn on a lapel of a Jacket can be a little heavy when using fresh flowers. They feel very light weight but when worn over a day can sometimes mark the fabric. Lapel corsages here at Someflower are usually mounted on magnets to avoid this happening...however a wrist corsage is also a great option.
They are really comfortable to wear as they are mounted on a gorgeous elastic cuff which can be made from simulated pearls, diamante or jewelled beads.
Here are just a few examples of some we have made to show you how pretty they are.
With Wedding Season and Prom & Summer Ball preparations in full swing....why not think about wearing a beautiful wrist corsage for your special event?
You can order your corsage my contacting us direct by phone 01730 300775 or via email info@someflower.co.uk
Fresh Flower Wrist Corsages can be collected here from the workshop or delivered locally for a small delivery fee.
Keepsake Artificial Wrist Corsages can be posted directly to you if you are not local.

Someflower 2012...1st Wedding of the Season
This Weekend we were at a lovely local venue to us here at Someflower-Old Thorns in Liphook for Jane and Chris's Wedding.
It was a pretty traditional style wedding. It was great for us to start with a good traditional style shower/teardrop bridal bouquet with lots of roses and diamante crystal embellishments.
All of the bridal flowers including the bridesmaids flowers showcased some fantastic roses which are very popular choices. Passion, Avalanche, Sweet Avalanche and Belle nesseled together inbetween soft dark green ruscus and an extra added delight was some highly fragrant Daphne that I picked from my cottage garden.
...and a lovely traditional long low arrangement was used to not only decorate the Registrars table but to also feature as the centre table display on the top table.
You can see more photographs of this wedding .....and many more lovely Someflower Albums to look through on our Facebook Page.
