Mmmmm....CAKE!!!!! So Many Pretty Cakes in 2011

Here are just a few of the cakes from 2011 that were superb.  Some were uniquely made.  Some were decrated with fresh flowers.  Some were brought in from a Supermarket.....and some just made me fatter from just smelling them they were just so loaded with chocolate!!!!

Some Of Someflowers 2011 Flora In Simplistic White

These candelabras were a real popular display at the Tithe Barn, Ditcham last year where displays with some height look really stunning.

Entrance Displays in Old Galvanized Milk Churns and Displayed on Old Wooden Flower Crates

English Country Garden Hand Tied Bridal Posy.. Featuring Herbs and Freesia for a perfumed bouquet.

Orchid Buttonholes @ Manor Barn

Show Stopping Aisle Arrangment featuring Phalenopsis Orchids....this display even made the Groom Cry!!!!

Pretty Elegant Low Displays with dark green foliages complimented the accent gold colour harmony that featured in this wedding.

This pretty handtied bouquet was one that we made a few times in 2011.....I think the use of the Eringium Thistle made this selection of flowers very appealing and gave lots of texture.  We also featured a beautiful little rose in this particular bouquet called Green Tea.

Some of Someflowers Favourites of 2011 in a PINK Theme

Ok...not exactly PINK....but a beautiful delicate little Orchid corsage on a pearl cuff.

This is a classic favourite arrangement for Someflower at St Mary's Church in Buriton.  The Lantern invites all your guests into the church.

A great use of BOLD STRONG colours featured in this lovely compact Bridal Handtied of Roses....STUNNING!!!!

Our Old Wooden Flower Crates saw the Sunshine on this day as they played a striking role outside the Entrance Doors to the Manor Barn in Buriton.

We have lots of great containers and vases etc for you to display your flowers in.  Our simplistic but effective enamel jugs were the perfect centrepiece for Summer Flowers alongside vintage tea cups and homemade jam!!!

Dusky Lilacs, Oyster pale pink and Ivory roses made this gorgeous romantic combination bridal bouquet.

Buttonholes and Corsages are just as important as any other display.  These Ivory and Heather Buttonholes were particularly sweet.

Summer Summer Summer Time!!!

Summer was CRAZY at Someflower last year (2011).  We had the most amazing time not only because we were busy but also because every wedding we played a small part in were all different.  Seriously EVERY wedding was unique and we thoroughly enjoyed working with every client and creating such diverse floral arrangements specifically for that Special Day in their lives.

There were lots of colour being used in 2011 in the floral decorations which was inspiring and really looked the business in places like Manor Barn, Old Thorns Hotel, Cowdray ,Langrish House.

Even some of the Bridal Bouquets featured strong colours, like the ones pictured here, and it worked really well especially in the photographs.

These images were shot a special photographer-JOHN COLE.  I have had the pleasure working alongside John on numerous occasions now and he is one of the best.!!!  You will see more of his work no doubt in later postings.

Stepping Out Of The Snow and Into SPRING!!

Spring Time brought us that amazingly warm....or do I dare say HOT weather.

It was so sunny for one of our late Spring Weddings of 2011 Faye and I decided to work outside one afternoon.  I remember how great and relaxed we were that day popping beautiful headdy scented daffodils and narcissus into Jam Jars and vases for a pretty Spring Local Wedding.

Not only was the flowers BLOOMING....so was Faye as you can see from this picture she was pregnant with her second baby.

I think this may have been one of the warmest weeks of the year....who would have thought !!!

If you are getting married in the Spring Time...I honestly think you cannot beat introducing a few gorgeous spring flowers into your wedding theme.  Whether it be Daffodils, Narcissus, Hyacinths, Paperwhites, Ranunculas, Tulips or Mascari to name a few.....Spring blooms are so seasonal and are not available all year round like some flowers which in my opinion makes them super special....so grab them while they are around.  They will make your special day even more special as you will always be reminded f that serenity and freshness that Spring provides.

Sparkling Beauttiful and Magical

We started off the early part of the year at the Tithe Barn in Ditcham for this gorgeous "Wintery" themed wedding.  White sparkling beech wood, dark evergreen foliages and white roses and wicker hearts looked magical up the aisle and hanging from the ledges.
Flickering candlelight and LED's created atmosphere and romance.  These arrangements were brilliant as not onlt did they decorate the wide aisle with something really unique and different from the usual Topiary Tree aisle....they also doubled up as the table decorations saving the Bride and Groom ££££££.

What do you think?

2011 Tithe Barn Wedding Fair

A New Year A New Journey For Someflower

Usually the 1st couple of months are a little quite January and February are not always the most popular of wedding months. However there is always lots to do and our main focus when we returned back to work in the New Year was for meyself and Faye to sit down with any left over Christmas Chocolate/cake or Biscuits and discuss what floral creations and designs we are going to take to any Wedding Fayres we may attend.
Funnily Enough that is also what we are doing right now too (some old habbits never change!!!).
We were kindly invited again last year to exhibit at the Tithe Barn, Ditcham, Near Petersfield Wedding Fayre. It is just the most beautiful of barns and we count our blessings that we are so close to one of the most amazing venues in the South East.
I always envy the couples getting married there. What a magical place to start your journey together. The Tithe Barn certainly has that WOW factor and we absolutley adore working there, so to be invited to showcase some of our work at their event is a privelledge.
....AND GUESS WHAT?????
We have been invited again this year to exhibit. HOORAY!!!
We have lots of lovely, unique, exquisite floral ideas to share with you. So come and say "Hello".
You can find us in a prime location on the beautiful balcony on SATURDAY 28TH JANUARY 2012 @9-4PM.

Please Readers Forgive Me....For I have Sinned!!!!

Please Readers Forgive Me....For I have Sinned in a very big way.

I have not posted on my BLOG now for over 6 months....which frankly is unforgivable.

Its not because I have had nothing to say....it has been simply because we have all been so lovely and busy here at Someflower, and I just did not get chance to sit and type and tell you all about it.

Now however is different, and I think I will just give you all a little run down of some of the wonderful highlights for us last year.

Do let me know your comments to any of the postings. I love to hear your thoughts.

Happy Reading

Love Michele xx
